My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Pepper is 9 years young. She is a very friendly, sweet girl. She is house-trained. She loves belly rubs. She gets along with other dogs but wants all the attention (petting her and playing with her) so we are looking for a home for her where she could be the only dog. Pepper returns the love she receives ten-fold. She should do well with children age 10 and older. She has lots of energy so we are looking for an adopter who will take her on walks (she loves them) as well as who has a fenced yard for her to run around in and expend energy.

If you would like to be considered to adopt Pepper, you must first apply. Please contact schnauzerrescue@outlook.com for our rescue's adoption application. Please be sure to keep a watch on your Spam and Junk folders if you don't see a response in your email inbox. If you've already applied, please contact schnauzerrescue@outlook.com to be added to the list of those being considered.

Rescue Schnauzers usually weigh between 15-25 pounds, they are up to date on shots, heartworm tested and spayed/neutered prior to placement. We make reasonable efforts to evaluate the health and temperament of each dog, however we cannot make any guarantees.

We are not a shelter and do not have a central facility to visit our rescue schnauzers. All dogs are kept in foster homes located throughout the area we cover. PLEASE NOTE: We rescue schnauzers in Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, Washington D.C., and southern Pennsylvania. We can only accept applications within a reasonable driving distance of our areas of coverage, which includes Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, Washington D.C., Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey, and eastern West Virginia. For a rescue contact in other areas, please go to our website http://www.schnauzerrescue.net and click on Rescue Links. We have a need for volunteers in Maryland, Virginia, Washington D.C., Pennsylvania, and Delaware.

Our website features lots of great information about the rescue process, book reviews and training tips. You can donate to Pepper's care at http://schnauzerrescue.net/Donate.htm via PayPal or check. All donations go to the veterinary fund and are tax deductible as a charitable contribution. Thanks for your support!
