My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We are a foster based rescue and thus do not have a facility where all of our rescues are kept. Our foster based program allows for dogs a loving home environment similar to the one they will hopefully be adopted to. We have foster homes in multiple geographic areas.

This is Jeannie and she is new to our program and is really starting to relax in her new foster home. She ended up at a shelter and we came to her rescue. She is believed to be five years old and the shelter thought she was a Soft Coated Wheaton Terrier but we can't guarantee that. She came to the shelter with some skin infections so we are treating her for that. They thought she may have been hit by a car but if she was, there isn't any lingering issues. Jeannie is housetrained and cratetrained as well. We do know that she is a Velcro dog and would love to be around you as much as she can and she likes to snuggle. A huge SNUGGLER! She is pretty much a people dog and often ignores other dogs but doesn't like to share her toys with other dogs. She seems to have a squeaky toy fetish and likes to gather them all up in a pile. ADORABLE. She coexists with other dogs but really is fine to play by herself and just be near her humans. Did we mention she loves her toys??!!! Jeannie has a small tad of "Dennis the Menace" qualities and probably needs a bit of manners as sometimes she gets excited and jumps or she might decide that she can hop on that chair and share your food. But she is very correctable and eager to please. She is as unique as she looks and so easy to love. She probably wouldn't be a great apartment dog as she barks when her people leave for a bit but then calms down and waits for them to return. She loves to play fetch and enjoys a nylabone.. We think a home without a cat or other small dogs would be best for her as she does like to chase after small furry creatures outside in the yard. Also, although she hasn't shown any aggression, we are nervous about placing Terriers with young children. If you would like an adoption application to be considered her new family, EMAIL STORKWOODS@COMCAST.NET.
