Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We need to re-home our German Shepherd, Jax. Jax is a one year old (birth date: 8/5/18) full blooded german shepherd. He is AKC certified and bred from a strong working class lineage (which can be provided). Jax is crate trained, and can be kept in his crate overnight while sleeping, and for up to 9 hours during the work day. He responds to many basic obedience commands, and enjoys agility training. Jax definitely needs a family with an experienced handler who is familiar with the breed.
Unfortunately, my work schedule has recently changed, and I will be traveling much more that usual, and will not be able to give Jax the time and training he needs to be happy.
Jax would make a great home protection dog. He is very protective of me, my wife, and our two young children. He can become assertive (barking and lunging) when new people approach, and when people come to our home. He does calm down once introduced to visitors. This can be addressed through additional training.
