Hello-I'm Sonny! I know- I will just come right out and say what you are already thinking-I have the most amazing ears a dog has ever had the honor of having. Well, let me tell you, I'm not all just ears. I'm a sweet 6 month old puppy with a wonderful personality and a lust for life. My foster home consists of a large female dog and a cat! I respect my cat friend and I adore playing with my foster dog friend. I have met countless dogs during walks, adoption events, and off leash play, and I have been appropriate and polite with them all. I walk great on a leash and would even do well on jogs, if that's your thing. I ride great in the car and would love to be your adventure BFF on the weekends. I'm super smart and food motivated, which means training for me is a breeze. I shocked and delighted people at the last adoption event showing them my heel, sit, and wait skills. My foster mom often times takes me to work for half days. I encounter a ton of people and other dogs at work and I'm great with all of them! I also have no problem going in my kennel when my mom has to run errands, and I never have any accidents in the house. Me and my ears are waiting to find my forever human---hope that is YOU!
All of our pets start their journey in Memphis Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted.
In order to qualify for ALIVE’s program all of the following steps must be met: • You must be at least 24 years of age and be able to provide ALIVE with proof of age. • Any current pets must be up to date on vaccinations, and be spayed/neutered. Exceptions to this will only be considered if proof of a medical explanation is provided. • If you currently rent, you must provide a landlord’s phone number and a copy of your executed lease. • All members of the family living in the home where the animal will be placed must be interviewed. • Allow an ALIVE Rescue Memphis representative into your home for a visit to insure that your home is safe for the potential new dog or cat. • Be able and willing to spend the time and money necessary to provide training, medical treatment and proper care for a pet.
Currently, the requested donation to adopt a dog from ALIVE Rescue Memphis in the Memphis area over 4 months of age is $275.00, a dog under 4 months of age is $300.00 and a cat is $150.00.
Currently, the requested donation to adopt a dog from ALIVE Rescue Memphis to the Nashville area is $325.00. The $325.00 adoption fee includes transport to the Nashville area.
Currently, the requested donation to adopt a dog from ALIVE Rescue Memphis to the Chicago area is $475.00. The $475.00 adoption fee includes transport to the Chicago area.

Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you submit an application immediately to start the adoption process. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, ALIVE Rescue Memphis is operated 100% by volunteers. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding.
Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff.
