Gracie's owner died a year ago. My father-in-law wasn't ready to surrender her to an unknown owner, yet couldn't care for the cat. So she has lived with us as a "foster cat." My father-in-law is now at a point that he can let go of the cat. She does not get along with our cat, so we do need to find a new home for her.
Gracie is a lap cat. She prefers an owner that likes to sit the majority of the day. She will snuggle in and purr the day away.
If her owner doesn't sit, she will happily take a perch on a shoulder. She has been nicknamed "Parrot". Gracie does not like to travel. Gracie has a life long history of anxiety. She chews off her fur on the lower part of her body. This is a lifelong habit that she persists through high doses of medication. Medication was stopped because it didn't stop the licking. Gracie is an alpha cat and does not get along with cats that aren't submissive. She is a wonderfully sweet cat. She is very talkative and likes routines.
