My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Millie the Merry Wanderer! Millie is an 11 year old, 13 lb Shih Tzu mix who has a gentle, loving temperament and is looking for a forever home.

Millie was picked up as a stray in really rough shape. After lots of TLC, she is doing well. She has a few medical issues that will require ongoing care. This includes chronic dry eyes (common to Shih Tzu's) and allergies. Millie requires daily eye drops and medication once a day for her skin allergies. .

Millie has a sweet disposition and a gentle demeanor. She also has a tail that just will not stop wagging. She is looking for a lap to nap on and a companion to watch over her. She would do well in a home with someone that works from home, or a young retiree who is looking for a companion. She prefers older kids to young ones, and is good with other dogs.

Millie is house trained, is good in a crate (but she would prefer to be next to her people), house trained as long as her caretaker maintains a consistent schedule, micro-chipped and up to date on immunizations.

Millie is being fostered in Shrewsbury and her adoption fee is $200.

Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.

We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.
