My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lucian is a tiny imp of a Tzu that has the saddest background
I couldn't even begin to fabricate his first 10 months or so of his young life which after 11 years of rescue, caused my heart to break a little more.......
Lucian was purchased as a puppy and promptly put outside. He wasn't housetrained or crate trained and put out for play. No, he was tethered to a wire crate with a 4 foot leash. He had no shelter from the storms and how he survived the sun and heat I will never know. Lucian was so matted you could tell his sex and he stunk to high heaven. Despite his grim life he absolutely loves people. He loves to play and he is HAPPY. Sorry he looks a mess, the shelter did their best to get the mats off and we are waiting for an opening with our groomer. By the grace of God Lucian is heartworm negative. He had an umbilical hernia that was repaired during his neuter and he's working on learning not to potty inside although he will need someone patient as he had a 4 foot leash holding him in place so having the room to move and having to wait to go outside is a bit foreign to him. He will get it though, we have faith in him! He does well with other animals but we would truly love for him to have a person of his own, one who will dote only on him, and one he won't have to share.
