My story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Nicholas has a pending adoption!  Stay tuned for details!

Say hello to Mr. Nicholas!

He is Nick to his friends and those that know him as a fun loving young fellow.  Nick is very friendly, playful, and gets into grabbing the bird on this stick competition with his foster sister, Kitty Boo Boo.  They run through the house chasing each other looking for adventures.  Nick loves everyone he meets and even likes his dog foster brother (check out his photos).

He is a very handsome domestic short hair.  His fur is mostly grey with stripes.  Soft white on his paws, chest, and tummy complete his good looks.  He is approximately 5 years old and weighs 10 pounds.  He is neutered and up to date on all vaccinations and preventatives.

If you would like to make Nick a member of your family please fill out an application on our website at www.kydiamondsintheruff.org.  he is presently in a private foster home in Eastern Kentucky.  Please remember Nick is an inside cat and will require a home that will protect and love him.

More about this rescue

We are a not for profit organization consisting of a group of dedicated volunteers who are devoted to saving shelter dogs and cats that are in danger of euthanasia. Rual Kentucky, Virginia, and West Virginia shelters have a constant overflow of healthy adoptable dogs and cats, with little funding and limited space. Once the dog or cat arrives at the shelter, they have very little time. It is our goal to help save these animals, and adopt them out to loving families in the New England area. We do not limit ourselves to any particular breed, as we believe all shelter animals deserve a second chance. We are NOT professionals trainers or animal behaviorists: simply volunteers who are trying to save these dogs and cats from euthanasia.
