My story

Meet Cody! Cody is ready for his forever home, with a patient adopter that will love him for the rest of his life! Cody is playful like a kitten at times, loves to show his belly for rubs, and enjoys other cats. As a small kitten Cody experienced stomatitis and had mouth infections. In May 2019, Cody was rescued with his mother and six siblings from Pender County Animal Services. The rescue made the decision to give Cody a full mouth dental extraction, leaving Cody's canine teeth. This does NOT interfere with Cody's ability to eat at ALL. In fact, e enjoys his food (and life!) much more now that his mouth is healed! Have questions? Ask! If you are interested learning about Cody, his personality, his past medical treatment, contact his foster directly at (910) 789 0680 or email mayfiesh@gmail.com

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Once the adoption application is received, a home visit will be set up. If that goes well and is approved, then a vet check is completed (if the applicant has recently owned an animal, if not, two professional references will be required). Once both of those are approved, then the adoption fee will need to be paid.

More about this rescue

We are dedicated to improving the lives of abused, abandoned, and homeless animals by aiding in their journey to a better life. RescueConnect also encourages and educates individuals to keep their animals up to date on vaccinations, on heartworm preventative (for canines) and encourages spaying/neutering. For more exotic pets, we will complete the research necessary to provide literature and guidance on proper care or connect guardians with experts.
