Background: Cami’s owner recently passed away, and the family was unable to keep Cami. Cami (AKA Camelot) had been used as a service/therapy dog as her former owner suffered from PTSD and she provided tremendous calm and comfort to him for many years.
What Cami’s Foster says: Cami is a gentle lady; she stays right by your side all the time. She is a wonderful companion and would be perfect for a retired person or a family, where someone is home all or much of the time. Cami does not like to be alone. She loves to go for long walks a couple of times a day she has no leash issues and does not pull. Cami is really friendly towards all dogs and people and will stop to say “hello” to everybody. She is not food driven or possessive of food.
What Cami’s Rescue Rep says: Cami has been around children and other dogs (and cats), and does fine with all. She is energetic and loves to play, but then Cami can be calm and laid back. She slept on her dog bed in the bedroom with her former owner. Would be great as a family dog or for one individual who seeks a fabulous companion. Her adopter must be prepared to work with her on her anxiety over being left alone.
Medical Information: Cami is in fine healthy; she is current on vaccinations, spayed, and heartworm negative.
Cami is located in: Oakland.
