My story

From broken to beautiful, Opal is a true story of triumph over adversity.

Opal was picked up as a stray in Houston and to say she was in rough condition would be an understatement. This girl was hairless, emaciated, and suffering. Opal had a tiny patch of hair on her upper back/neck area, the only part of her entire body that contained hair. Her skin was raw, and she had open oozing wounds on her head, likely from scratching. She tested positive for both Sarcops and Demodex.

But that's where her story changes for the better! She was placed into a loving foster home in Texas where her skin, body, and soul all started to heal. She was treated for the skin conditions and her fur grew back and we could see her beautiful coat and coloring.

One of the best things Opal had going for her was her great personality through everything! Opal has every reason to hate people, yet she's just the opposite! Opal is not timid and desperately wants someone to give her love to.

Opal has already been through so much and deserves a second chance at finding her forever home!
