Nessie is a relaxed dog. She's a 4-year-old Plott Hound and, more than anything else, loves to be lazy. Her favorite place is lounging on the recliner or sunbathing on the deck. It may not sound like it, but she needs and enjoys a lot of attention. She'll come sit by your side and want you to rub her neck or back. She doesn't need much exercise.
We don't know all of Nessie's story. She was adopted in 2018 by a family who later had a child. According to the SPCA, that pregnancy was difficult and Nessie wasn't getting enough attention and started acting out by getting into the trash. She was returned and adopted by her current owner the next day. Because of my schedule, Nessie isn't getting the attention she needs. She's started acting out again and also has shut down emotionally. Nessie is good with dogs that are not too in-your-face, but would likely do best in a one-dog home. She is crate and house trained.
She does get anxiety in certain situations, but just needs love.
