My story

Billie needs a foster or adopter who will help her through heartworm treatment. Costs are covered; she just needs a quiet home. Billie is a sweet, friendly girl who is tolerant of all sorts of handling. At a recent vet visit, her tail never stopped wagging! Billie seems to be fine with kids, and she might be okay with another big dog, with proper introductions and supervision. She needs a house with a fenced yard, and it's time for Billie to be an indoor pet!

Additional adoption info

Many of our rescued dogs have a history of behavior issues and were in danger of being killed for behavior in a pound or shelter. We take the time to evaluate and provide any needed training before adopting out our dogs, and we're looking for safe, loving homes.

More about this rescue

Our group of volunteers and advocates save rehabilitatable and manageable dogs in danger of being killed at Austin, TX area shelters. By saving the "Final Frontier Dogs"--the 1-2% still being killed--we can help develop best practices for the nation's shelters.
