My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

WMy name is Balu. I am a female, Dilute Calico shorthaired kitten. I am the older of four girl in an all Calico litter. We are super colorful! We were very sick as yound kittens and our owners probably were not able afford to take us to the doctor. We had not eaten in many days. We were meowing as lound as we could and finaly - some nice young people found us and took us to the shelter. We were rough shape and the shelter could not take care of us, so Small Lives Matter Kitten Rescue came to save us. Our trip home was a nightmare – apparently we did not smell too good and the rescue people had to drive with the windows rolled down, then we had to have a bath. Our foster mom gave us warm bottle every few hours. WE were extremely hungry and ate yummy wet food too. We are in foster care which means we are waiting for someone to adopt us.

My foster family has kids, a big fluffy dog and some adult cats. So, when I get ready to go to my permanent home, I will be well socialized and ready to hang out with everyone in the family. If someone doesn't come soon, we will have to go to a pet store, and I am pretty scared about it. You will not see my true personality there.

Here is what my foster mom says about me – "Balu is almost all grey with a few faint buff spots. Balu is a good older sister and snuggles with her litter mates, She is the quietest one of the bunch, but has the loudest purr. She is smart as most Calico are and is a brilliant shade of grey. Come visit her soon!"
