My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Brissa. I am a female, Tortoiseshell shorthaired kitten. Me and my sisters were found in a trash bin. I am not sure how we got there. We were very sick and our guardians probably could not afford to take us to the vet. We had not eaten in many days. Fortunately, we did not stop calling for help and some nice people found us and took us to the shelter. We were rough shape and the shelter could not take care of us, so Small Lives Matter Kitten Rescue came to save us. Our trip home was a nightmare – apparently we did not smell too good and the rescue people had to drive with the windows rolled down, then we had to have a bath and warm bottles. Our foster mom gave us warm bottle every few hours. WE were extremely hungry and ate yummy wet food too. We are in foster care which means we are waiting for someone to adopt us.
My foster family has kids, a big fluffy dog and some adult cats. So, when I get ready to go to my permanent home, I will be well socialized and ready to hang out with everyone in the family. If someone doesn't come soon, we will have to go to a pet store, and I am pretty scared about it. You will not see my true personality there.
Here is what my foster mom says about me – "Brissa is one of the most colorful Torties I have ever seen. She probably has a million different colors. Brissa is independent, frisky and capricious. She is vocal and it was probably her cries that saved her and her sister’s lives. She will advertise her needs and wants (even if it's only for attention) by meowing or loudly purring. Her unique personality is always display as most Torties. She is sensitive to her surroundings and picks up on your moods and responds with playfulness or cuddles. Come visit her soon!"
