Meet Jack!
This little boy has gotten the short end of the stick but that did not stop him from still being the single sweetest happy-go-lucky dog ever!
Jack is a 6 year old Maltipoo (Maltese and Poodle) who has a soft curly coat that is cream colored with a little butterscotch thrown in, is non-shedding and hypoallergenic and a non-barker.
Since Jack was a puppy he had been with the same owner, a family that cared for, groomed him regularly, and walked him every day. When they had to move (for what reasons we don’t know) he was surrendered/dumped at the SPCALA. From there he was adopted by a young man who just a few months later was accepted to the police academy. He reached out to his vet (also our vet) who recommended us. And from there we took him in. We had him fully vetted, checked out and put him under anesthesia for a professional teeth cleaning. Jack is neutered, up to date on all vaccines and microchipped as well. He was also just professionally groomed.
He is happy to follow you around everywhere. He loves to run and play with other dogs. LOVES to play fetch and play with soft toys as well as chew on bones. He enjoys walks but not too long, he rather just lay on his dog bed by your feet. This boy is constantly wagging his tail! He is a total lap dog and after a couple of days will attach himself to his new human. There are some smaller dogs in the program he loves to run around and play with. Male or female. He does fine with the Pit Bulls and Mastiffs but is simply to small to play with them. He’s is also good with kids and did live with a cat. Jack is. It good with birds or bunnies.
He is very very dog friendly. As well as cat friendly. He is in our rescue at a foster home with multiple dogs large and small. German Shepherds as well as 3 small dogs and several cats. Although he would do wonderful as an only dog as well.

As we pre-screen via email ONLY,please tell us a little about your lifestyle, work schedule, how many adults, children or pets are in the household, area you live in, house or apartment etc. We will happily place Jack in a home with children and other dogs no problem. We expect him to be an indoor dog.
Please make sure you’re ready for the responsibility, and that everyone in the household is ready for the long term commitment that training, grooming and exercise a dog like this requires.
Should things move forward to a meet & greet/home check situation ALL family members, kids and pets currently living at the residence must be present. The meet and greets are to not only make sure he gels with you guys and your dog, but that everyone in the family is on board and equally as enthusiastic.
We do not make exceptions to this rule!
