My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

From a past rooted in pain, he has blossomed into the most beautiful flower. Two-year-old Phillip was brought in from a hoarding situation in March. He had an incredibly hard time in a cage setting and was so scared that he would scale the walls after escaping. Soon, he became an office cat. While this was best for his health, many potential adopters did not know that he was there. Fortunately, because of so many adoptions out of the community room, there was finally space available for Phillip. Finding comfort in other cats has brought out the best in him. He is an incredible companion to them and just wants to give kisses and rub heads with them. Sylvester, Whitey, Nome, and Little Punk are frequently spotted obliging to this request. Phillip is very lively and gracious during playtime with the other cats. He shares and likes to work as a team to defeat the red dot. His other hobbies include being handsome, working as a greeter to entering guests, eating treats, and being groomed by our blind kitty Brianna. He is the most popular boy! Because of this, Phillip would like to be in a home with other cats. Photos do not do this supermodel justice! His eyes are bright yellow with a green ring around the pupil, and he has a gorgeous all black coat with just a few white hairs on his chest (very manly). And if you look closely, you will see that the hair around his mouth is a little sparser, making it look like little human lips! Phillip's aliases are Phil of the future, Dr. Phil, Philly cheese steak, and Phil and Lil DeVille. He has come a long way. Initially wild with fear and then skittish and shy, he is growing more confident every day. As we all do, Phillip deserves patience, understanding, and time to acclimate. His past is tragic, but it does not defeat him. It makes him strong.
