Buckeye is a purebred with no papers who was acquired from a hunting dog breeder who claimed he suspected Buckeye had diabetes insipidus (basically couldn't concentrate his urine so would have to pee an hour or so after drinking water. We took him in and over time and with going to the vet discovered he had no such problem. He stays home for 12 hours at a time when we work with no problems even with water left out for him.
Buckeye is 6 years old. He is being re-homed due to a divorce sadly. He is very friendly. As with any lab, playing fetch is life to him ha ha. He was involved in a roll over a accident the first year of his life before we got him so is not a big fan of car rides but will get in with coaxing. Any for whatever reason he is a little quirky about his paws so he doesn't do shake. He has never been aggressive with anyone including children. He simply pulls his paw away if you reach for it.
As horrible as we feel we want to find him a great home bc he deserves it
