My mom likes to take care of stray cats and when one of them had a litter and local children kept bothering them, she brought them in to be fostered. So far we have found homes for two of them and they have adjusted to their new homes very well.
Ginger is a extremely affectionate and docile male orange-and-white tabby, he has a extremely friendly disposition and gets along well with other cats, children and adults. He would be a very good choice for children as he never hisses, claws or bites and is docile even with somewhat rough treatment or being picked up. He loves to sleep on people and just cuddle in general. Overall a very quiet cat, he rarely makes any sound even when he's hungry. Given overall proportions he will probably grow into a fairly large cat.
