My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

It's the time of year for sweet treats. My name is Jingles and I am as sweet as they come! I am a petite 4 year old lady, weighing in at around 8 lbs. My foster mom says I am gorgeous.

Cuddling, running and playing tug of war with my doggie friends are some of the things I love most. I am super fast and know how to dig my way under a fence so I need to be supervised in the yard. I know how to use a doggie door so unless you have a secure yard or are ready to go out with me, the doggie door should probably stay locked. When it is dinner time, I go straight to my crate. I will stay in my crate when you go out if you feel it is necessary and will even sleep in there. I must confess that I much prefer to sleep on your bed and keep your feet warm though.

Because my life so far has not been all sunshine and lollipups, strangers scare me! I don't know who I can trust. Sometimes I act scary when I meet new people. If you give me my space though, I will come around and show you what a marvelous lady I can be.

Because I am easily scared and so small, a home without young children would be best. A dog pal or two would be wonderful!

Housebroken, up to date on vaccines, spayed, microchipped and negative for Heartworm and Lyme diseases, I am all good things in a small package. My pictures do not do me justice. Sitting still for the camera is not something I like to do. You really need to meet me and get the full experience. Could you be the love of my life? Let's find out. Can't wait to meet you!

Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.

We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.
