Aries was transferred to us in October 2019 from another rescue group, after originally being found roaming in the woods with a large group of rabbits. 'Playful, Explorer, Climber, Chewer, Skittish, Curious' are the main ways to describe Aries. He loves to chew on card board boxes that have been put out from him. He plays in a bunny proofed apartment and he hasn't been spotted chewing anything else. He will climb on coffee tables, there's no stopping him when he wants to! When he first went to his foster home, he would run immediately, but after a week he warmed up to his bunny-savvy foster parents and he lets them pet him as he is climbing all over them on the couch (only allows a few head pets though). He readily comes up to people to investigate once he has gotten used to people, especially to see if food is involved. He is defensive when cornered, and VERY FOOD MOTIVATED (has been known to box his food cup if you're moving too slowly!). There are no cats, dogs, or children in the home. He has been startled by very loud noises, however it appears the more he hears the particular sound the less the reaction he has. Aries is A+ perfect on the litterbox in both habitat and when out for playtime, very very few poops left out the box. He is also a binky champion, and LOVES to explore .He is not a big pellet eater, but he does like to have a water bowl. He loves fruit or anything sweet, but he is given a very small piece daily of either the apple or orange that is being shared. He is not a big treat eater currently, but he has warmed up to the timothy biscuits more. For toys he likes willow balls, anything he can chew. There are other personal rabbits that have tried to start a fight with Aries through the gated area, but Aries has not tried to instigate the other rabbits. If he sees them he does watch them from a distance and is alert. To help with the dinner time food aggression when he gets extra excited, his foster parents pet him when they open his cage and take out his food and water dishes and then continue to give him pets while returning the dishes and he has responded well to that, no signs of aggression yet. Because Aries has a history of aggression he is not recommended for homes with children, but would make a great free roam bunny for someone who has some bunny experience!
