My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Orville is a less than a year old and is a sweet and happy guy. He was rescued by Canine Cupids after being hit by a car, the driver didn’t stop but a good Samaritan did. He had a broken femur but luckily no other injuries. He received a femoral head otectomy to save his leg and is recovering like a champ in his foster home. He has been working hard doing physical therapy exercises and aqua therapy and he is a strong guy and a speed demon when he’s chasing tennis balls! He isn’t expected to have long term issues from the injury. He’s continuing his training in his foster home and being a very good boy. Orville would be great in a home with other dogs, he would probably prefer it, he adores his foster siblings. He has been around cats in crates and he was not reactive but there are no cats in his foster home. Orville takes a little while to warm up at first…but once you’re in…you’re IN! Orville is very well behaved in the car and happy to sleep in his crate. House-trained and eager to please.

His hobbies are copying his 3 foster siblings, taking walks wherever you want to go, intense cuddling, playing with toys, flopping on every soft surface he can find and being a non-stop comedian!

Orville’s passions in life are snacks, tennis balls (seriously, plan to make friends with your local tennis club) and giving sloppy kisses…he’s ready for a best friend for life!

Our Thoughts on Visual Breed Identification
Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable. For most of our adoptable Cupids we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix. We think it’s most important is to get to know each dog as an individual! We then do our best to describe each of our adoptable Cupids based on their personalities in order to determine whether they’ll make good companions based on prospective adopters’ lifestyles. Dog behavior is not exclusive to breed — it’s a complex mix of nature and nurture.
