My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Abe is an 8-year-old neutered male yellow lab. Abe weighs 79 pounds and is up to date on shots. This dog is approved for homes with children ages 10 and up.

DESCRIPTION:

UPDATE: November 22, 2019: George and Abe are a bonded pair who are fun and enthusiastic and love everyone! They are best suited to a quiet home in a suburban/country setting. George and Abe get along well with other dogs, but would prefer to have all of the attention to themselves. George is okay with cats and will bark at but not chase them. Abe has diabetes and is mostly blind from cataracts. They are very special boys that need a very special home to be loved, spoiled and to call their very own.

October 29, 2019: ABE and GEORGE are both super sweet and love attention. Abe may be blind but he sniffs you right out and leans in for petting. He is a smart boy who quickly maps out his space and can move around well. He is fantastic on a leash and stays right by your side - he does need some warning when a curb is coming up. George can be impish and will snatch a shoe or a kitchen towel if given a chance. Both boys love their people and seem more interested in humans than dogs when meeting them on a walk. They are thrilled to go on a car ride and lie down quickly and enjoy the outing. Both George and Abe can be vocal, barking in the crate or when left alone.

Oct 15, 2019: ABE and GEORGE are a bonded pair of yellow fellows who love to be together. Abe is a golden guy with big brown eyes who enjoys playing in the water and going for walks. George is equally handsome with a winter white coat and a wagging tail that welcomes new friends. He likes to play fetch and explore in the yard. These bonded boys will be perfect partners for playing in the leaves, snuggling by the fire and enjoying the fun that comes with fall.

Abe is diabetic and needs insulin every 12 hours on a regular schedule. He is blind, but he gets around fine. He is very bonded with George and follows him around.
