My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Machamp (Champ), he is a phenomenal boy! Unfortunately, he is another one who's ear were cropped but of course, he doesn't mind. The vet estimated him at 4 years old and says he's mostly American Bulldog who is a chunky 65-70 lbs. Champ is a super chill boy and can even be a bit shy at first so he is looking for a more laid back with with gentle/loving people. As you can see in the photos he has been practicing some therapy work for and with people in his foster home. He loves other dogs, he will hang out peacefully all day and night with other dogs. He is pretty lazy but will also play and go for walks with you. He doesn’t have to have another dog in the home but he probably would enjoy a playmate and also another dog to teach him the ropes. He loves hanging out with humans too and is a great movie partner. He was extremely gentle and laid back. He even climbs up on the Foster’s chair when she was not there and keeps it warm. He could quite possibly be trained to be a service dog.

The foster has seen no prey drive, aggression, or resource guarding whatsoever. He loves his Nylabones and will be content chewing on it right next to his foster brother. He can eat with the other dogs as well.

He loves car rides and will hang out patiently in the car waiting although he was never left for long. He is slowly learning commands and is a very quiet dog.

When walking, he has been taught to give an auto sit when you stop. He also knows wait.

When in a new place, if he gets scared will try and dodge out the door, so he does need to be watched if you have the doors open at first. This guy is a big love bug, he is such a good boy and will make an outstanding family pet.

He would love a new mom/dad who have a job where he could go with them. Of course, this is not required but we are just in love with him and want him spoiled rotten. He would be great greeting customers or clients.

Does better with a definite routine: In summary, the safer he feels the more secure he will be. He is house trained.

If his new family needs to crate, he will need a very secure crate if left alone. Another dog in the home crated near him could definitely help. He doesn’t love the crate and for that reason, having a home where he is only crated for specific shorter periods of time is best. He can be cat tested upon request and he is great with older kids.

Champ is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and preventives, heartworm treated and has a valid health certificate.
