My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Zoey is an almost 5-year-old spayed female yellow lab. She weighs 51 pounds and is up to date on shots. This dog is approved for homes with children ages 5 and up.

Zoey is an easy going girl that loves to be with her humans. Almost as much as she loves her tennis balls. She loves to fetch, and would love a family to play with her daily, as she's perfected her fetch skills in anticipation of her new family. She also knows many other commands, and she loves being around children (she's approved for children FIVE and up!). She needs to be adopted to a home with another dog.

Update from foster: Zoey lost her favorite ball in the backyard so had to find a new toy to chew on. Foster says she is a dream. She is happy the grandkids are visiting and rode with them to school. She LOVES car rides.

This dog is available for adoption from Lab Rescue LRCP. Lab Rescue LRCP rescues and places dogs in Maryland, Virginia, Washington DC, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Delaware and North Carolina. Adopters must travel to Maryland, or Virginia with their family - human and canine - to meet the dog they want to adopt.

Lab Rescue LRCP has between 40 - 80 dogs available for adoption from foster homes across Maryland and Virginia, and at monthly adoption events. The adoption event dates and locations are listed at www.lab-rescue.org.

If you are interested in adopting, please visit www.lab-rescue.org and complete an adoption application. After you submit an application, you will hear from an Adoption Coordinator who will guide you through the adoption process.

An adoption fee is charged to cover the cost of veterinary care and a home visit is required.
