My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gizmo is a 9yr young CKC registered purebred Chihuahua who was surrendered through no fault of his own when his owner passed away.

He did live with another dog, and is currently being fostered with a passive dog and cats.
However, he does resource guard his spaces sometimes if other pets intrude, so for this reason we feel he would do best in an adult only home, as an only pet. He is still adjusting to foster care, and we will reassess over time.

Gizmo does adore attention and people and is adapting well in his foster home, who are working on creating positive associations with him.

He does bark at people/dogs etc on outings, but is easily redirected and otherwise reported by his foster family as a quiet dog indoors. We feel he would be fine in either an apartment or house environment as long as his space is respected in scenarios such as elevators etc.

He is in good health other than his weight loss goals, has had a dental as well as vaccinations, all of which are included in his adoption fee. We have him on a strict diet to reduce the extra lbs he gained in his senior owner's care.
