My story

Hello
My name is Poppy, and I am roughly 8 years old.
My story starts out being abandoned back in August. A caring person called the local rescue and they came and picked me up. I looked like I had been on my own awhile. My once gorgeous hair coat was dirty and full of debris. First thing my new foster mom did, was shave me bald except my head and had a warm bath. My skin was infected, and I was totally embarrassed for anyone to see me like this.
Two months later, I look like a different dog. I still have one patch on my back end that has not grown in yet. It may not grow back perfect and be more of a scar. My skin is dry in that area, but a good bath and brushing feels so good. The vet has checked me for heartworms (negative), and I have had my vaccinations and micro chipped. I feel so much better these days and it shows in my attitude. I am playing again with my foster dad; we love to rough house around the living room. I go where my foster mom goes; you can say I am attached to her hip. I will sleep on the couch, in your bed or a doggie bed. I live with several dogs and am around small kids during the day. I walk on the leash and will potty on the leash or using puppy pads.
I am spayed. Micro chipped, HW negative and up to date on vaccinations. My adoption fee covers transport from Tennessee and a health certificate.
