My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Messi is a 7 month old Shepherd/Lab mix. He is very high energy but also loves to cuddle. He loves to retrieve and play with bones and other chew toys. He would be best in a home with a family who is home often and is able to give him the attention he needs. He tends to jump a lot but he does listen to commands when he is more calmed down. He is great on a leash, doesn’t tend to pull much. He is fully crate trained as well. Unfortunately, he does not get along with our bulldog. We have tried to get them to bond, but for the safety of the both of them, we can no longer keep him. He seems to be okay with other dogs outside or at a dog park, but it really depends on the breed. Overall, he is a very loving and loyal dog. If you’re someone looking for a true companion as well as a great guard dog, he may be the right fit for you.
