My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How's it going, world? Nikko here. I am so ready to find my forever home and show my future adopter(s) what a good boy I really am. It does take a bit for me to warm up to you, but like most dogs, I can be won over with treats! (I do love my treats). Once you and I are buds...you can pretty much do anything with me! I love playing with my doggy friends (...I like the energetic females the best)!
I also love going on car rides, and I do a good job in the car, I don't jump around all crazy, I usually just lay down in the back and look out the window. Sometimes my favorite volunteer brings me to the drive through for cheeseburgers, but not too much. (Gotta watch that I don't get 'dad bod').
I'm happy to go for walks but really, I just want to lay down and enjoy the breeze and sunshine with you.

I’m a smart boy and very eager to please. If you want to teach me tricks, go for walks, go grab a hamburger for each of us at the drive through, I’m down! I’m a good boy who is ready to run, play, and use my brain in my forever home. And of course I’m also very excited to cuddle, take naps, and watch tv with my forever people too.
My favorite home will be a home with adults who don't have friends over a lot, cuz as they told you, it takes me some time to get to know you. Please come meet me, and bring treats!

When you adopt me, I'll go home with spay/neuter, up-to-date vaccines, deworming, a microchip, a heart worm test, and, if needed, heart worm treatment. For more info email adopt@animalrescueneworleans.org
