Sheila showed up in my neighbors yard the 18th of Sept She was very scared, scratched up and bony. She would eat food out of my hand but to quick to catch. We finally cornered her and threw a towel on her, didn't know if she would try to bite. Once I was able to pick her up she didn't squirm or try to get away, just kind of shook. We asked the other neighbors on the street if she belonged and they all said no. There is a field and an alley so figured someone dumped her. Took her to the vet next morning, no chip and he gave her an antibiotic so the scratches didn't get infected. She only weighed 19 lbs her ribs and spine were sticking out so no telling how long she was on her own. Vet figured she was about 3 months old, and for being a stray she was very calm at the vets. I couldn't bring myself to take her to the pound. She is a very sweet, bright little girl. She is still pretty skittish but very puppy active. Now almost 5mo, 31lbs and spayed Wish I could keep her but I can't.
