My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

No Phone Calls, Please fill out an application and send it back to us to be approved. Bella has now had her heart echo done and she is ready to find her forever home. This senior girl is a real sweetheart and will make someone very happy to have her as their pet and part of the family. We raised the money to get her heart echo test done and it showed that she does indeed have a 2 to 3 grade heart murmur with the typical heart condition issues that Cavaliers sometimes get. She also has a mild case of Pulmonic Stenosis but neither issue requires medicine right now. They said re-check her heart in 9 months for any changes. She is about 10 years old or maybe a little younger. Since we have had her here at our rescue she is doing well, seems very happy and is enjoying attention and lots of love.

My name is Bella and I am about 10 years old or maybe a little younger. I am a red n white Cavalier girl with a hint of something else in me, not sure what. I belonged to a lady owner who kept me in a cage 17 plus hours a day and I had to wear a diaper. She would leave the house at 7 am every morning and return sometime after 9 pm. My life was living in a cage and not good for me. As time passed, eventually some people took notice of what was happening and they felt that this lady was being cruel and heartless to me. Then I got lucky one day when they took me into their care, put me into their car and off we went to a vet. I was given a rabies shot and I got treated for my ear infections. Their vet told them I was about 2 years old. They couldn't keep me and asked for rescue help to get me a good home. At my first visit, the rescue vet told the owner of CCR that I am definitely not two years old. After looking at my teeth and other signs that are telltale of age they are saying I am about 10 years old or maybe a little younger.

I came to the rescue with fleas, a heavy case of tarter and damaged teeth (probably worn down from chewing on the cage due to confinement), and my rear end was badly stained from urine and poop after being kept in a diaper for so many hours. Both ears had infections and are being treated. I am a small girl, possibly from neglect of care and or not being fed enough while young and growing up. This vet said I do have a 2 to 4 grade heart murmur but my heart echo test shows 2 to 3 grade, with typical heart issues that Cavaliers can get plus a mild case of Pulmonic Stenois. No medicines are needed right now but they could be in the future. I had a dental done not long after I arrived here with no extractions and I do still have some broken off teeth, probably from chewing at the cage. I am a nice, sweet little lady about 19 pounds. I am a happy girl with a tail that wags a lot, letting you know that I am thrilled to be in a much better place and away from that awful cage confinement. I will tell you when I need to go outside by whining, I do ok with a crate if you don't leave me for long time periods, I can jump up on furniture okay and I have not messed very often in my crate since coming into rescue because not in one for long time periods. Being In that stressful home environment for so many years made me a sad girl and I felt unloved. Here, I am now a happy girl, eager to eat and my tail will wag a lot because I just love attention. It would be a dream come true for me to find a loving home with a human owner who will love and appreciate me for the special senior girl that I am. I hope that no one is ever cruel and heartless to me ever again, I know that I deserve to be loved. Here at the rescue I get along really well with the other dogs, especially the senior cockers who are now my friends. Please give me the home that I deserve. I will need an owner who can afford to provide the proper care for me and will go the extra mile for me to take care of my health issues and medicine needs as I get older. I enjoy lots of attention, love and it would be great if you can afford to provide the vet care that is necessary to keep me healthy, happy and living a better life. Please fill out an application to be approved. I will be a wonderful pet for you to love.

My adoption fee is: $350.
