Meet Honcho! He was brought to the shelter with his buddy Money as an owner turn in initially on Nov. 12. The previous owner stated they had a new baby and no longer wanted them indoors so they felt it was better to try to find them a new home rather than leaving them outside. They stated he is good with children and is house trained. Honcho is 1 year old, has been neutered, and weighs 66 lbs. He knows to sit but is strong on leash which may be due to just being turned into the shelter. He is up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested negative and microchipped. His ID is 620636 and he can be found in run 825.Honcho and Money were adopted together on 12/14 but the new person said he was not allowed to keep Honcho in his new home. He had already returned Money on 01/18 saying he lost his home. So they are both in need of a new forever home.
Honcho recently attended an off-site adoption event and this is what a volunteer had to say - " der I LOVE HONCHO!!!! Honcho was at our Petsmart adoptions yesterday and he is a GREAT dog!!!! He is very handsome.....beautiful chocolate color. And he is SUPER sweet! He loves other dogs and loves to play. He loves his toys and when you would take him for a walk, he would put the leash in his mouth and basically, walk himself! It was so funny. He literally nibbled treats from your fingers, he is quiet, loves people.......pretty dang near PERFECT!!!! Please go meet this super sweet boy!!! "
Please note, all of the pet listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers, not shelter staff. If this pet came in as lost (not an owner surrender), we don't know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When calling the shelter about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER, names are oftentimes made up by volunteers.
