Meet Mochi she is from a high kill shelter in South Texas. She was left there as a puppy with her 5 littermates and a bad case of mange. Because of her hairloss everyone who came to the shelter to adopt a puppy looked right over Mochi and her family. It wasn't long before they were at the end of their time hoping for a family to save them. Thankfully someone from the CARE team spotted them and a lovely foster family in Portland opened their hearts and home to the litter and they were able to leave the shelter in the nick of time. Mochi has since then been seen by the vet and given a clean bill of health and treated for her skin infection. Her hair has grown back so much already and is continuing to grow in. She looks like she is going to be a beautiful chestnut color once she has all her hair back. Mochi does very well around kids and other dogs and has a lot of love to offer a family. This dog was rescued from a kill shelter or the streets and has been evaluated for medical and temperament to prepare for a forever home and is in a foster home in San Antonio, Texas and is ready to fly to its final destination once adopted. The adoption fee of $900 USD covers spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, health certificate, air transport and overnight layover in Seattle.
If you choose to pick up your dog at the Seattle Tacoma International airport in Washington the adoption fee is $800 because there is no overnight layover required. Please fill out an application at www.caretx.org/adopt or email adoptions@caretx.org
