My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meow! I’m BAILEY!
I also go by “Bailey Kitty”!
I’m a mature female calico, about 10 to 11 years old.
My foster says I am “very good looking”. I have a white undercarriage, with my orange, white, black and grey colors on my topside, to go along with my emerald green eyes.
I am a little shy at first but my foster has found my disposition to be “very sweet and gentle”. After only a day or so, I became comfortable with my current foster, and reached up to request a lap to sit on. I am quick to purr when getting petted, whether I am stretched out on the floor or resting on your lap. I like to meow-meow to let you know when I am hungry or when I spot an inviting lap. Once we get to know each other, I will take great pleasure sitting on your lap, purring and enjoying a petting.
I came from a household in which my loving older owner sadly had to give me up but wanted to make sure I would go to another loving home, so I was given over to Forgotten Angels rescue organization for adoption.
I came from a quiet household which I shared with a small dog. My foster says I am defensive and not comfortable around other cats. My foster also has concerns about my ability to share a household with dogs or small children. So my ideal home would likely be as a “one and only cat” in an adult environment.
I would love to have a new permanent home by the time Thanksgiving rolls around
Once I settle in, I will be A LOVE and life-long friend!
In the interest of full disclosure, my foster took me to a veterinarian for a check up in early November, 2019, and I checked out well except that I was diagnosed with early stage liver disease. This necessitated that I go on a special low protein diet. So I will cost a little more than the average cat to feed. The good news is that there are several soft and hard food products designed for cats with my condition.
Sometime in my past, I was declawed.
I am spayed and up to date with my shots
