My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Samson is a handsome 20 month old male Akita who was surrendered to a shelter in North Central Indiana when his family moved to a location that did not allow dogs. He is neutered, micro chipped, up-to-date on vaccines, and on heart worm preventative. Samson is considered a Red with black overlay colored Akita and his white chest and high white socks make him very handsome.
Sam's a large, energetic teenager who is housebroken and crate trained. He is well mannered on walks with a Gentle Leader collar. Like most Akitas, he is eager to please and is learning many things right now. Sam excels at the sit command and he will wait politely for his food. Like most teenagers, however, he can be a little headstrong so experience with the Akita breed is a plus.
Sam loves to be with people and is and can be vocal when he wants attention. He's an exuberant, mouthy adolescent when he plays, so he's best in a home with older children. Sam has shown no signs of aggression with our submissive female Akita, he is unknown with cats.
