My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Duke/Scout is a 4-year-old neutered male yellow lab. Duke/Scout weighs 84 pounds and is up to date on shots. This dog is approved for homes with children ages 10 and up.

DESCRIPTION:

UPDATE: Dec 6,2019: Duke and Daisy are both so sweet and seek affection from everyone. Daisy is the more subdued of the pair and wants to do her business and go back inside for some good scratches. Duke likes to sniff everything and explore. He is a big strong boy and needs someone that will work with him on his leash walking skills (he is better with an ez walk harness.) They are a 4yo bonded pair that must be adopted together, and they have successfully lived with a cat.

Nov 13, 2019: Duke and Daisy were returned because Duke is a master escape artist and his adopters had lots of teenagers in and out of the house and were afraid he would get injured during one of his escapades around the neighborhood. They did say that he’s a very loving boy and has a great temperament. His family also added a kitten to the mix while they were there, and Duke and Daisy played gently with her. Duke needs a home where his adopters can be mindful when entering and exiting so he doesn’t run out. He’s very food motivated, which is great for training, but also means that you shouldn’t leave anything on the counter that he can reach. He’s doing better with his leash walking, does best with an ezwalk harness.

Feb 4, 2019: Duke and Daisy got to spend the weekend in a foster home. These two are a lovely bonded pair that love toys, especially squeezable tennis balls. They love to give kisses and are so vey happy to see you when you come home. Duke and Daisy would love an active family to take them on adventures or a back yard where they can run and play. Daisy thinks she is a lap dog! While these two love to run and play they settle nicely in the crate.

Jan 30, 2019: Duke and Daisy are a bonded pair of best friends that love to be together. Duke is the leader of this super cute combo and Daisy is never far behind. This pair has spent most of their time crated and they really haven’t had a chance to learn about the luxuries of labby life. They did get to try swimming once, and really enjoyed it! These smart siblings have had some training and quickly learned some basic commands. They will need additional training as they learn about life outside of the crate. These guys are friendly and affectionate and full of energy. They are excited to find a home where they can run and play and enjoy the simple pleasures every dog deserves. They are good with dogs, unknown with cats, and approved for kids 10 and up
