My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Adopted w/Rigel NOW Leo

DOB: May 23, 2019 - Nov 2019 Adopted with Rigel

Lyra is part of the stars litter. Literally! Her siblings are Vega, Canopus, and Rigel. She is the smallest of the litter and will likely be petite like her mom, Blackie. She has silky, glossy black fur that is short but dense, and beautiful gold eyes.

Her foster mom affectionately nicknamed her Smarty-pants, or Little Lady, because she often evaluates a situation first, then decides to act, unlike most kittens who don't stop to think and often get themselves into trouble!

Although a bit reserved at first, she appreciates pats and attention. She loves to be carried, held, and snuggled under your chin. Unlike her brother, Canopus, Lyra avoids noise and commotion, but appreciates a gentle manner and opens up to quiet companionship.

Lyra has a very gentle manner, and prefers to avoid wrestling and rough play, probably because she has always been the smallest. She loves to chase the feather wand or red dot, as long as she doesn't get trampled by the more aggressive kitties.  She is a bit dreamy, she likes to gaze out the window and think her little kitten thoughts. Her favourite sleeping spots are snuggled with a sibling or with her mama.

She prefers to sit back and watch her siblings make fools of themselves running into each other. She is a quiet, smart, cautious girl who is most responsive to other gentle souls. Her quiet and calm demeanor is very soothing. She likes to pretend  to eat from one dish until all her siblings get interested and mash their faces together to share while she leaves and takes the best bites from their abandoned plates!

Lyra is great with other cats, and MUST be adopted with a sibling, or into a home with another young cat-friendly cat to befriend, under 3 years old.
