Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Blind Dog Rescue Alliance will help with transport within reasonable distance. Apollo is being fostered in Illinois.
What we know about Apollo:
*likes walks
*likes outdoors
*gentle
*calm
*housebroken
*enjoys a massage
What Apollo's foster mom has to say about Apollo:
Apollo is a sweet and gentle soul. He seems very comfortable and content. He doesn’t snap, bite, chew or dig and barks rarely. He enjoys the outdoors and loves meeting new people. He is great on leash and will do well in a suburban environment where he can have human and animal interaction on walks. A fenced in yard with limited obstacles would be ideal for him to display the spring in his step and the jumping bean move he enjoys when he is excited and happy! (See video)
Apollo is not a cuddler and sleeps in his own bed, but he does love massages at night and to be rubbed anytime. He loves affection and wants to please. He has a few toys and responds to the ones that make noise, but otherwise doesn’t play much with them.
He has limited sight, but does really well mapping out his environment as he has dealt with his blindness his entire life.I believe there is some hearing loss that comes with age, but a light stomp or clap gets his attention so he can locate you. He does startle if you grab him from above, so I make sure I put my hand under his chin to smell when approaching.
This is a sweet, docile fellow who just needs kindness, love and brisk walks!
