My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Buster is a big teddy bear! Vocal and loving, he has been on the streets a while so takes a moment to trust a new person, but once he trusts you he is all over you. The vet loved him and said he stayed calm even when they shaved around his wounds to clean them. He must have an indoor-only home so that he doesn't try to return to the busy parking deck he was living in (he actually enjoyed it because he flirted with people and begged for food and attention, so he would try to go back, but he was dangerously dodging cars). He seemed to be friends with some cats and fought with others, so if he goes to a home with other cats they should not be aggressive or territorial. He is current on vaccines, flea and worm prevention, had a negative combo test, and is neutered. He's a young adult about 4 years old. He has a condition called granuloma that means he always has small wounds that don't heal well, but Convenia injections every several months have lessened the severity.
Can someone give this love bug a forever home? No set adoption fee but a donation helps us help more cats like Buster. Adopter must have a cat carrier for safe transport.

Additional adoption info

While we don't have a set adoption fee, we do ask for an adoption fee of your choice to help us cover some of our veterinary care and supply costs. Adoptions are not free. We do have a short questionnaire that we ask potential adopters to fill out via email so that we can be sure we are matching the right cat with the right FOREVER home!

More about this rescue

The mission of Cat Zip/Campus Cats is to humanely manage and reduce the number of community cats on the University of Georgia campus and in surrounding neighborhoods and counties through our community cat management/TNR program, barn cat program, and adoption program.

We will not take in or relocate unwanted community cats. We cannot take in strays from the public. We will loan you traps and provide all the information and advice you need to safely trap the feral cats in your backyard or at your business in order to have them spayed/neutered and vaccinated, IF they are welcomed back to their home territory and will receive lifelong care (food, water, etc.)

Cat Zip Alliance is is a nonprofit organization with 501(3)(c) tax exempt status.
