My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This handsome hunk of man dog is Sam! Sam is a lab mixed boy, and he is about 7 years old and 80 pounds. The more to cuddle with we say! We rescued Sam when we went on a trip to our local animal control to meet some dogs and see if any would be a good match for our rescue, boy did we hit the dog jack-pot with Sam here! He is everything we were looking for in a dog or two that day; sweet, older, big, and not necessarily “super adoptable”. Why black animals are harder to adopt out is a mystery to us, we love them! Anyways, Sam is safe with us and a proud member of the Saving GRACE family!

To be quite honest, Sam is seemingly perfect! He is very laid back, with a goofy/playful streak that comes out from time to time and is just right. Sam absolutely LOVES going for car rides, and he rides very nicely in the car; he loves looking out the windows. He is just a total gentle, sweet soul; he takes treats so gently and is a doll when it comes to snuggling, which is something he is a big fan of too. Sam will come over and lay his big head on you while you work, demanding you to multitask and give him some lovins. He loves going on walks and would make a great walking buddy for somebody. Oh and he seems to be potty trained and know a couple tricks; though we always tell owners to expect accidents while a new routine is being established. We really think the world of our boy Sam if you can’t tell!

Sam has been around other laid back dogs and done great, he’s seen cats and doesn’t seem to care about them at all. Sam is a very chill and easy going fellow, he just wants to enjoy his people and get lots of lovins. Due to his calm nature, we do not feel like he would be happy living in a home with rambunctious animals/small children that may try and push him to play too much, Sam is more of a couch cuddling, Netflix binger! If you can’t tell from the pic, Sam is a big fan of snuggling in bed, and yes maybe hogging it a bit; so a family that would allow him to sleep in bed would be perfect for him! Okay okay, we will stop gushing over Sam now; just be prepared to fall in love if you get the chance to meet him. He has heart melting powers I tell ya!

Sam is a foster dog through Saving GRACE, his adoption fee is $175. He has been neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated, heartworm tested negative, had a full bloodwork panel/vet checkup (that turned out great!), and more. All Sammy boy needs now is a family that is ready to open their home and hearts to this handsome gent! Sam would LOVE a home for the howlidays!
