Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Kelly is about 6-7 months old. She has a beautiful smooth coat that makes her look like a tiger - it's called brindle - and is typical of the plott hound breed. Kelly is being fostered in a family with four young children and another dog and doing great. She loves her walks in the woods, tagging along in the car doing errands, and just hanging out at home. She is learning her manners and knows a few commands already. Kelly sleeps in a crate at night and is quickly getting the hang of housetraining. She has no accidents if she's brought out every couple of hours.
Hounds are known for being great family dogs. They're loyal and loving, energetic and playful outside, but couch potatoes indoors and will be happy to hang out with a chew bone and watch the Red Sox and Patriot games on a Sunday afternoon. Hounds are easy to keep clean. They enjoy long walks in the woods and because they love to follow their nose, should be kept on-leash. A big fenced yard with a kiddie pool and some fetch toys would make Kelly happy.

Please see our main web page for info about our adoption process and what's included. We like to keep our adoptions local; we do not ship our dogs. We prefer adopters in NH and MA. Puppy adoption fee $425.

Our dogs are being cared for in private homes by volunteer foster families. Appointments to see our dogs are scheduled once an application has been submitted and approved by our adoption counselors.

Because these dogs are rescued from shelters, we do not know exact background and only list breed and size by our best knowledge. If exact breed and size are important to you, please look elsewhere.
