My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Abby is a 5-year-old spayed female chocolate lab. Abby weighs 99 pounds and is up to date on shots. This dog is approved for homes with children ages 10 and up.

DESCRIPTION:

UPDATE: Dec 26, 2019: Abby got to spend the holidays with a family and she's such a great dog! She's incredibly sweet and loving. She settled in right away and is friendly with all members of the family including kids aged 11 and up. She does need to lose weight, but the good news is that she's a great walker. Abby's happy to go and does well on a leash. She likes to play and fetch. She hasn't encountered any squirrels while walking to gauge prey drive, but overall she's pretty calm and corrects easily on leash. She is great with the resident elderly 17 pound dog and pretty much leaves her alone. Abby goes into her crate with a little treat encouragement and settles down pretty quickly. She hung out in the same room where presents were opened and she was calm and settled the whole time. She is good during meals, doesn't beg, and lies comfortably under the table during meals. She kept one of the kids company while feeling under the weather and snuggled next to her. Abby is really a sweetheart, just full of love and snuggles

Dec 22, 2019: Abby is feeling good and her paw is just about healed. She is ready for her forever home, and hopes it will come soon!

Dec 7, 2019: Abby is the sweetest and happiest girl around. She is a tad overweight, so she is looking for a family to take her on walks so she can lose weight. Abby was tested on lead with other dogs and was friendly with them.
