Kiki was given to us by a friend. It was supposed to be a trial run to see if she will adjust to a home with a dog and little kids. The good thing is that Kiki eventually did adjust! She was initially very shy and never came out of hiding until early morning when everyone is asleep. After 4 months, she now ventures out into all the other parts of the house even with the dog sniffing at her. She still does not like our dog, but she can be found hanging out at my computer desk while I'm working at night and in the early hours of the morning when the kids and dog are asleep and the house is quieter. Even though she is more comfortable now, I can see that she still needs a home where there are no kids and no dogs. If my home did not have either of these, I believe she would be more comfortable and would be happier being able to roam more freely all day, not just at night or early morning. Now that I am moving to another state due to a position offered in my company I must give her up.
