My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kobe’s story:

I am heartbroken as I write this out. Kobe has been with me for four years. He is an adopted dog from ABR and I fell in love with him before I even met him. Kobe is a shy, timid Brittany with an unknown past prior to me adopting him. He has come a long way in four years. Kobe knows all his commands and even a few special ones I made for him. He loves to cuddle and be right at my heels wherever I am in the house. He cannot have too much attention if you know what I mean! He is gentle, but likes to give you a paw when he needs more petting. He also tends to jump up on you for more attention; this jumping is very gentle, not spastic or aggressive. He is also a perfect alarm system as he tends to bark at noises; I have been working with him to not bark at common household noises.

Kobe would do best in a home with another dog as he does have some separation anxiety. He has been around cats and does very well with them. He also does well around children. He would do great in a fenced in yard, although he has not been in one lately. He does love to hunt around the backyard and chase a squirrel or two! He is crate trained and goes to his crate at bedtime or if he will be left in the house for extended amounts of time.

My home situation has changed and I had to make the hard decision that Kobe should not suffer due to this change. He is a great dog, not to mention a beautiful one. He would make any home complete. He needs an understanding family with patience as he is shy, especially around males; a soft voice goes a long way with Kobe. He tends to find one family member to attach to and will become that person’s dog.
