My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Nia is a purebred Yorkie female, 10 yrs. of age. This sweet, little dog was just surrendered to our rescue. Her owner recently died, and the owner’s son and family who had previously committed to care for Nia if their mother was unable to do so, decided to surrender her as they purchased a new puppy and didn’t want an older dog. Nia came to our rescue over 2 yrs. ago as she had lived in puppy mill/kennel producing Yorkie pups for sale. When the breeder no longer wanted her, she came to our rescue.

Nia is a sweet, calm little dog. She appears healthy and enjoys exploring a yard. She is friendly with people and gets along nicely with other dogs of all sizes. She currently weighs 10 lbs. and should weigh 6-7 lbs. Nia’s favorite activity is cuddling with a person or just being companion for a ride in the car or a trip to the pet store. As far as house training, she does OK when taken outside every 1-2 hrs. It would be wonderful if Nia could spend the holidays with her new family.
