My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Bori. I am 4.5 months old, Labrador Retriever mix boy. I weigh approximately 7.5 kg and I am super healthy. I was rescued from a high kill shelter located in Jeju Island in Republic of Korea. I have an excellent temperament and get along with everyone.

As mentioned many times by the aunties at Joey & Bailey, Jeju Island is notorious for the dog meat trade. During the summertime, trucks owned by the local dog farms and slaughterhouses make a daily run, circling the island and picking up strays just like me. Rescuer aunties in Jeju Island want to rescue as much as they can before the summer time. Reason is, during the summer time, there’s a high demand of dog meat.

Every day, trucks operated by the local slaughterhouse circle around town and pick up stray dogs like us to be sold as dog meats. Only way for our aunties to save our friends is by finding homes as soon as possible so that they can make room to save more of us. It hurts me to believe that some Koreans view me and my friends as food. We have same feelings just like you. We cry when we’re sad or hurt and we laugh and run for joy when we’re happy and excited.

I would like to find a home in a country where there’s animal protection law. I want my pet parents to take care of me forever. If you can reassure me, then I will be forever thankful and make sure to give you lots of love! Please take me home!

Should you be interested in adopting me as your new family member, please fill out the adoption application on Joey & Bailey's site.

You must be at least 25 years old to be considered as oversea adopter. For serious inquiries only. Please note, we monitor all pets after adoption. We prefer adopters that are active on any of the social media accounts.
