My story

Merry Christmas from Cisco and Kiana! Their Houston-area owner had to move into assisted living and could not take them, nor could anyone in the family or circle of friends take them (Karma will catch up to them). They wanted us to let their owner know that they made it out of the shelter together thanks to a dedicated group of terrific volunteers. They are in the Denver area and, after adjusting to the weather for a few days, are now Colorado dogs! We are treating their heartworms and taking a few pounds off of them, although Vienna sausage is the trick to getting them to take their pills, so weight loss is going slow :). These two are quite bonded, but super sweet and great with other dogs and people. They are both reported to be 10 years old and appear to be German Shepherd/Chow/Shar-Pei mixes. Kiana loves to chase after the younger dogs and is getting stronger and moving around more every day. Cisco has conquered the stairs and now comes upstairs part of the night to sleep with rest of the pack. We don't think these are their original names, so if you know them, please let us know so they can be even happier. These two are available for adoption or permanent medical fosters only together. To send their names and background information or for adoption or foster information, please email dancingdogrescueco@gmail.com.
