Hi my name is Eleanor and sadly at 10 yrs old I have to start over with a new family. I still have a lot of love and attention to give a family but I fear I will sit here for a long time in this kennel I now call home. I am used to being with my family, my boys, and doggy friends and having the comforts of home. My Senior friend Scout is also here at the shelter but I know we probably won't get adopted together and that is fine with me. My whole life has been flipped upside down. I would love a family that would take me for walks and let me hang out on their couch. Are you that family? Are you the one that will get me out of this dog kennel? In the meantime I will sit here day after day watching these younger dogs leave and get looked at while I just sit here waiting for that special someone that sees I still have lots of life and lots of love to give.
For any family willing to let my friend Scout come and live with me the shelter here said they will do a 2 for one adoption , that's right me and my friend for a $50 adoption fee. Check out Scout on their website. I can't wait for that family that will take both of us but it would be a miracle if it happens.
House Manners: Eleanor was a house pet in her previous home. We don't know the details of what schedule she was used to.
Basic Training: Unknown, will evaluate soon
Other Dogs: Eleanor lived with 2 other similar sized males dogs in her previous home.
Cats: Unknown, will evaluate soon
Kids: In her previous home she had 2 teen aged boys
Fencing: Eleanor is housed in a 6 ft chain link and does not attempt to get out, there is a 4 ft cross section and she has not attempted to over that.
The adoption fee is $50.This dog has had its age appropriate Vaccinations brought up to date with Rabies shot (4 m & older), heartworm tested (4 m & older) and/or started on prevention, basic dewormer, spayed or neutered and microchipped by 24Petwatch with free registration , and also comes with 30 days of free 24Petwatch Pet Insurance .
Important PLEASE read if interested in adoption:
We have a pretty open adoption policy, apartments, unfenced yards, and young kids are okay, but only if the pet you are interested in is a good fit for that situation!!! Some dogs may require a fence of a certain type and height, due to safety, the breed or known history. We are looking for pet parents that provide vet care such as routine vaccines for their pets and heartworm prevention for dogs. Please understand we do cross check vet references and landowners/landlord policies and cannot process applications with incomplete or incorrect information.
We asked that you take your newly adopted dog for a vet exam in the first 30 days to establish with your vet and obtain their heartworm prevention prescriptions and have a fecal exam administered as some pets may need additional de-womers after leaving our care.
