Ray is just over a year old, born 10/11/18 - given to me by a coworker whose cat had kittens. Has his sweet moments, likes to snuggle on his own terms and greets me every time I come home. Very vocal and likes to play on his own as well as with pole toys that have feathers.
Since about 6 months old he's been sneak attacking me, on the bed, on the couch, when I'm trying to change. He'll get in a quick nip and run away. I'm not sure if this is playful, for attention or both.
I sought help around 6 months in an effort to stop the behavior. I've taken advice of the specialist and given him more play time, things to climb on etc. She indicated another cat might help, which is something I'm not willing to take on. I'm gone for 10-12 hours/day - maybe he's lonely and needs more attention. She noted he may grow out of it at 2-3 years, once he's become an adult.
I'm not fully on board with giving him up but I've reached a point where I'm not sure what else to do.
