My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Scout is a beautiful, sweet, intelligent 2 year old Akita. I bought her from a pet store at 10 weeks old. She has been through obedience training & knows verbal/nonverbal commands for sit, sit-stay, come, down, down-stay, off, heel, & leave it. She walks very nicely on-leash in “heel”. She knows a couple tricks - pound it, high five, & “dance with me”! And she’s smart enough to know how to open the back door & let herself in the house!
Scout has been a wonderful & fun dog to own - however, we have a new baby & the change has been tough for her. She has not been aggressive toward the baby but she is used to being the center of attention & has developed anxiety because of that change. Scout needs a home without small children (high school would be fine), no other animals, a fenced yard, & somewhere that would give her lots of love & positive attention. She is loyal & would do best with someone who could invest a little in training to establish a new owner relationship.
